Who Am I?

My name is Alina Miholca and I am a Contemporary visual artist. I was born in Romania in the mountains of Transylvania, where I studied Fine Arts in 2002. Then I followed the artistic path and I participated in various activities and exhibitions.

In 2014 I moved to Spain (Murcia) looking for a warmer place to live and learn the language, there I was lucky enough to meet a group of artists who offered me the opportunity to exhibit my paintings and also to work in their Art gallery as an artist. I was well excited and I was performing painting in front of people. I will never forget that feeling!!

End of 2017 I took another route and I arrived in England. I then located to Ipswich, and I can say that my artistic career has progressed a lot. I have my own workshop in the basement of my house where I expend hours producing and creating  – letting the best of my inspiration out.

I produce all the wooden panels and canvases by myself, I can say I developed some skills in carpentry too. I use new materials and also I love recycled (wood, softwood, strip wood, timber, magazines, newspapers, book, textiles…)

As an artist, I am able to do anything; oil, acrylic technique, charcoal, collage and much more. The technique that most identify myself is collage, I create Urban Art like old buildings, cathedrals, castles, streets… I play with bright colours and each work of mine has its own expression, they are all unique.

Art is my life, and when I paint I lose myself inside of every single piece, I got absorbed in the colours and lines, getting me into another reality.
